WELLESLEY, Mass. (AP) - Police in Massachusetts say an officer was hospitalized after being dragged by a vehicle driven by a man he was trying to arrest.
Police say the officer for the Wellesley Police Department stopped the vehicle Saturday evening and saw it had been reported stolen in Delaware. He struggled with the suspect, who took off.
The officer was dragged about 15 feet before he could free himself.
He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston with injuries authorities say are serious but not life-threatening.
The suspect is at large.
