Lawrence Reviews

The school's culture is totally teacher centered, not child centered. There is a huge lack of motivation to help kids reach their full potential. Basically, there is no value added to the student. Students' ability remain the same year after year and there is little to no growth in their academic ability. Teachers have way too much autonomy around curriculum and assessments. They have poor specials teachers for the music and the arts.

Excellent academics, clear curriculum guidelines. Wonderful teachers, experienced educators, nurturing and caring. Instrument, choir, and art are all available during the school day. Great extracurricular acitives for K-5, limited to sports for 6-8, with a few exception such as the school newspaper. Very involved parent community, planning acitivities, fund raising, classroom involvement. Warm, friendly community, excellent, well-rounded education.
