Joyce Kilmer Reviews

I am a parent of a 4th grader and a 1st grader and I cannot say enough good things about the excellent education my children are experiencing at the Joyce Kilmer School. As a member Of the School Parent Council I am aware of the budgetary challenges which seem to increase year after year. The Kilmer also has the additional challenge of being an expanding school, from an Elementary K to 5 to a K to 8. I value the great Joyce Kilmer community that I have enjoyed over the 5 years we have attended this school We as parents must realize that the high level of education we now enjoy will not continue without the continued dedication and commitment of parent volunteers.

I'm a former student who moved to another town. The Joyce Kilmer School is a great school and all the people there treat you so well.If I would rate that school I'd give it a 10 from 1-10.Joyce Kilmer School Rocks and Rules!

Joyce Kilmer is the greatest school. My son cried leaving K2 because he LOVED school so much. I can't say enough wonderful things about the school community, parents, teachers and principal.

My son just started attending this school for K2, I think the school is great the teachers work with the children and parents to make sure the child is doing well in school. I look forward to more year with The Joyce Kilmer School..

I have two children at the Kilmer; one has been there since K2 and will graduate this June '05. The teachers at this school are exceptional and have been there for years; the two K2 teachers are in their second year as the two prior retired. The Kilmer teachers give 100% and expect children to meet exceptional but reachable standards. Homework is a 'given' and for the upper grades, expect it on weekends and vacation-breaks. The parents are often overbearing, putting way more pressure on stay-at-home moms or 2nd-3rd shift parents to step up and volunteer during the school day, but feel 'exempt' because 'THEY work', but if that's the worst thing you can say about a school, that's a pretty high quality learning facility. The Kilmer is 'high in the trees' when it comes to a disciplined but supportive environment. It's a place to learn and grow!
