Avery Reviews

A an Avery School parent of 5 years now I can not say a bad thing about the school or the teachers. My son has done extremely well at Avery and is very involved thank to the parents as well as the teachers that give it their all! The school is definately run down but the pride from each student stands out! Wonderful place to learn, kudos to all who make it great!

This school lacks communication. I am a seperated parent who calls the teacher on a weekly basis to be updated with my daughters performance. Never do i get any responses. Come to find out she is failing and all this time I've been trying to get involved and they just keep neglecting my concerns. So if your a seperated Parent and your child goes here you'll have a tough time even seeing a report card!!

I find the Avery to be a great environment for learning. Although, the major issues the school faces is the physical condition of the building. basic necessities are lacking for certain academic goals to be achieved. I think the diverse make up of the school, the staff support and being a true neighborhood school foster a great experience for my children.
