Biography:
STU LEE is a self-taught SINGER / SONG WRITER / BASS PLAYER / PRODUCER who started his musical career playing in Bostons original music scene. Although playing Bass is his true passion. He also enjoys playing and writing music on guitar and piano.
Over the years Stu has played in many different bands, encompassing all types of music. His performances range from acoustic duo and trio gigs, to full band shows at clubs/halls/venues all around the New England Area as well as Nation wide.
In addition, Stu has years of experience playing General Business shows and private functions (weddings, seasonal parties, special events, etc…) up and down the East Coast, and even a few live Radio and Television performances.
Some of his musical accomplishments over the years include playing the invitation(s) only PHILADELPHIA MUSIC CONFERENCE in 1998 and 1999, and Bostons own NEMO FESTIVAL in 1998 and 1999. Stu also had the honor of being nominated for “ BEST NEW ORIGINAL ROCK ACT“ at The BOSTON MUSIC AWARDS in 1999.
Being a freelance player, Stu has been called on to play for some of Bostons most successful bands including TWO TON SHOE, HYPERCANE, DICK N JANE, SUNSET IS A BATTLE, NAKED WEDNESDAY, 10K SHIMMER, and The JOE MERRICK BAND.
On a National level, Stu has performed with DALE BOZZIO and MISSING PERSONS giving him the opportunity to play some larger venues such as The VANDERBILT THEATRE in Long Island New York, SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE in Jackson New Jersey, The HARD ROCK HOTEL at the Universal Resort in Orlando Fla. , and The MIAMI ARENA in Miami Fla. This has also given Stu the chance to Open for and Head Line with other world renowned bands such as BERLIN, FLOCK OF SEAGULLS, GENERAL PUBLIC, ENGLISH BEAT, and ANIMOTION………...
On a couple of vocal notes (pun intended), Stu recorded vocal tracks for world renown drummer DAVE DICENSO,S performance at The 1999 MONTREAL DRUM FESTIVAL in Montreal Canada, and has been singing professionally for STELLAR RECORDS, in Fall River Ma. Since the year 2000…..
Stu can be seen/heard playing with some of Boston`s most talented musicians including : JUSTIN BEECH, DAVE DICENSO, JOHN RIDLON, TOM GROLEAU, DANA ROBERTSON, ADAM AUFIERO, RYAN McHUGH, P.D. ROGERS, JOE MERRICK, JEFF CALDER, IAN RICHARDSON, ZAC CASHER, DAN JOYCE, JASON WALLACK and BRAD MILLER.......
as well performing in Boston based bands :
SWEEP THE LEG,
THE CHOWDA BOYZ,
and THREE OUTTA FIVE.
Stu is available for RECORDING STUDIO SESSIONS and LIVE PERFORMANCES, as well as being able to put together a Band for your Bar/Club/Party/Function/etc. , for all kinds of different musical scenarios and styles.
