Artist Bio
In printing monotypes which is an incredibly fluid process, I can build on the spontaneity of the process by predicting what different textures and colors will do. I want to work in a way theat would allow me more textual properties of ink and paper. Printing for me is to create new and exciting color manipulations.I want the view to feel the camaraderie between my prints and my drawings as they become the focus of the piece.
The Finished results of my prints are oftern a surprise to me becasue of the journey often leads me into an unanticipated place.
The motifs of my prints are strongly infulenced by the past few years and my love and appreciation to all the women in my life who delicately helped me through this overwhelming and turbulent years. For this I tried to caputure those sacrted moments.
