Tami Elaine Martin's Bio

Photography, like painting or dance, is an art of expression.  I often use multiple exposures to paint myself a new world.  I love photography because it allows me to rediscover myself, my relationship with God and the world around me.  I feel the arts give people an inside peek at one’s soul.  By combining images in my camera I am merging two worlds and seeing how they interact.  My images are intended to lead you to look closer within yourself and your environment.  I hope that by viewing my work you will have a better idea of who I am and how I view the world.

My interest in photography began in elementary school when I received my first camera, a five-dollar purple Avon camera.  As I grew up in Connecticut my love for photography developed into a career goal.  I worked for Frausini Photography through high school, where I became familiar with the camera and made my decision to pursue a degree in photography.  I now have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography with a minor in Art and an Associate of Arts in Graphic Design. I recently began exploring the world of painting and find its many differences fascinating.  I strive to always be surrounded by creative talent.  Art is a powerful tool for expression, inspiration and education and I will make it my life’s work to put this tool to use.
