Maureen O'Connor has been called "a masterful painter of our favorite things" by Randi Hopkins of the Boston Phoenix and former Assistant Curator of Contemporary Art at Boston's Museum of Fine Arts. She was honored with a one person exhibition of her work in celebration of Women's History Month at the Mayor's Gallery in Boston City Hall in March of 2005.
Her work is in the collections of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Fidelity Investments, Bank of America, Biogen, Very Fine Juices, Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center among others. She is represented by Artana Gallery of Brookline, MA and Young & Constantin of Wilmington, Vermont.
Recent awards include 2007 First Prize, Painting, The Boston Home 4th Annual "At Home with the Arts", Jurors: Paul Tucker, Art Professor University of Massachusetts and preeminent Monet Scholar who recently completed a catalogue of the Metropolitan Museum Lehman Collection of French Painting and wrote the essay for the 2006 retrospective of David Smith ant the Guggenheim, Joseph Wheelwright, Sculptor, Sara Eisenman Godine, Designer and Elizabeth Colburn-Moraites, Painter
