I am new to the Boston area and heard about Amad from a friend of a friend. Although it is a far drive for me to get to the salon, it is well worth it. I had boring hair that was definitely in need of a change. Amad took the time to explain what he thought would look good for me as far as style and color. He and his staff were courteous, efficient, and the outcome was fantastic. I can't even count the number of compliments I got on my new "do". The prices are very reasonable for a salon of this caliber. I would recommend Amaci Salon to anyone looking for a great style and color.
Great Boston hair salon

I am a student in Boston and have always found it hard to find the right place to get my hair done. I've had many bad experiences with different salons around the city where the staff was rude and condisending and the cut was not definetetly not worth the steep prices. About a year ago I finally found Amad at Amaci. Everyone at Amaci was so friendly and welcoming as soon as I entered the salon. I got my highlights done with Amad and they turned out fantastic! (and the price was reasonable... finally!) I have been going back ever since and definitely recommend Amaci for people looking for a high quality salon with out the snobby atmosphere and high prices.
Excellent Highlights and a Great Short Cut

I just moved to Boston from NYC and had disappointing experiences at two highly-recommended Boston salons -- nothing horrifying, just nothing spectactular. I was in search of spectacular, and I found it with Amad at Amaci Salon. The salon is as unassuming as Amad himself -- none of the overly-stylized, image-drenched packaging you find on Newbury Street, but this man makes magic with foil and scissors. Amad spent a ton of time with me...I got a perfect beige blonde -- no artificial platinum, brassy gold or drab ash tones -- and at my request my boring, mid-length hair was transformed via a very stylish, versatile, short cut. The prices were more affordable than 95% of the salons I've looked at in Boston and I couldn't be happier with the results. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amad at Amaci Salon.
Pros: Amad listens, knows his stuff and executes flawlessly
Cons: None based on my experience

I went to this salon tonight, looking for a new look. The receptionist was immediately welcoming, offering me something to drink, and providing me with a fresh smock.
My stylist, Curtis, was attentive to my needs, making suggestions about what would look good and asking for my input. The atmosphere was relaxing and cool, the staff neat and friendly. I would highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for a new 'do, coloring, or just a trim.
Pros: friendly staff
Cons: none

Maria is extremely professional and will immediately put you at ease and talk you through different style and cut options that will compliment your style and needs.
She never rushes through a service gives really wonderful color consultation as well. I'd never colored my hair before going to Maria a few years ago, and she suggested a tinted gloss treatment, which I would highly recommend as well. I've gotten more compliments after an appointment with her than just about any other time! ha.
Overall, the salon is clean and well-maintained, all the stuff you'd expect. Prices are reasonable and staff is super helpful/friendly. Looking forward to my next trip there!
Pros: Location, professionalism, stylist's skill
Cons: n/a
