Dorchester Historical Society - (617) 265-7802

This is one of the oldest historical societies in the area [and in fact the town of Dorchester was founded several months prior to Boston's founding in 1630, but was then annexed to Boston in 1870] and has begun efforts recently to restore its properties and rejuvenate its activities.
