Burtons Grill: Fenway's upscale favorite expands to Peabody

Jun 12, 2010

Upscale casual dining using seasonally inspired foods? Yep, Burtons Grill has become a haven for active, discerning adults with sophisticated palates and a zest for high quality food and wine in a comfortable setting.

Armed with five locations scattered throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut and Virginia, Burtons Grill won over diehard Red Sox fans when they set up shop in the Fenway neighborhood at 1363 Boylston St. Now, the New England-based restaurant group announced that it will open a sixth location in the new Nordstrom's wing of the North Shore Mall in nearby Peabody on Monday, June 28.

Designed by Peter Niemitz, the new 250-seat restaurant is set in an earthy color palette and will boast an expansive lounge area for live DJs as well as a new Wood Stone oven, both of which are new conceptually to the restaurant group, and specific to the Peabody-based location.

Under the direction of culinary trailblazer Denise Baron, executive chef Danny Azzarello will oversee the restaurant’s new menu which will consist of Burtons Grill signature, seasonally inspired, ingredient-driven items as well as some new creations focused around the new Wood Stone oven.

“The menu at our new location is fresh, straight forward, seasonal and honest,” says Baron. “We touch on classics and add a modern twist. As a chef there is so much to be excited about with this new menu. Our regular customers will be happy to see that we will have our classic steaks, seafood, salads and pastas; but, we’ll also be adding a whole new element coming from the Wood Stone oven that will include new items such as signature flatbreads.”

The Peabody addition is an off-shoot of the group's popular Boylston Street venue. Located in the heart of the Fenway and the Longwood Medical Area, the Boston-based restaurant is the perfect location for power lunching, socializing after work in their modern-upscale lounge area, dining the night away on executive chef Baron’s eclectic America fare or simply having cocktails with friends. The 280-seat Burtons Grill in Boston also boasts a seasonal outdoor patio and there's always plenty of on-street parking, as well as, affordable garage parking.

“We’ve developed our brand to mean something very distinct to our customers,” adds Kevin Harron, CEO of Burtons Grill. “The quality of the food that we put in front of them, the service they receive, and the positive impact that we have on the communities in which we operate is consistent.”
