February 9, 2006, 5:30-9pm Boylston Hall’s Ticknor Lounge in Harvard Yard COLOMBIAN ART in HARVARD YARD Harvard University’s Fuerza Latina is pleased to announce its sponsorship of “Colombian Art in Harvard Yard: A Group Show of Colombian Artists”, curated by Sandra P. Castillo and Francisco Garcia. Colombian Art in Harvard Yard brings together 14 artists based in Boston, Cambridge, Medford, Malden, Plain, Rhode Island and New Hampshire working in painting, sculpture, photography, quilting, video media, and performance art. Varying in their approach, each artist explores unique social, cultural, personal and natural landscapes linked to a Colombian sensibility. We invite everyone to experience and enjoy an evening of art and culture and live music. A reception with the artists will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2006, from 5:30-9pm. Gallery talk beginning at 7:30pm. Exhibition is free and open to the public. Ticknor Lounge is located in Boylston Hall next to Widener Library in Harvard Yard, Harvard Square, Cambridge .
